Founding Board Bios

The Founding Board of Heron Bay Academy is composed of individuals who have a breadth of experience and are committed to increasing educational opportunities in Henry and Spalding Counties. Currently on this board are Mr. Brian Davison, Ms. Stacy Patton, Ms. Christi Morgan-Johnson, Ms. Rae Foster, and Ms. Chappell Meredith.

Ms. Chappell Meredith is an experienced education administrator with a Bachelor of Education degree and a Master of Education degree, both from the University of South Florida. She worked in the public school system for 31 years, serving most recently as an Elementary School Principal from 1992 – 2005.

Ms. Rae Foster is an experienced educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University and a Master of Education in Early Childhood & Middle Grades from Georgia College. Ms. Foster has five years of teaching experience in the classroom and has served as PTO Co-Vice President at Bethlehem Elementary School.

Ms. Stacy Patton holds a Bachelor in Science Education and a Master in Landscape Architecture, both from the University of Georgia. She is an experienced senior project manager in land use planning, transportation planning, design and implementation, review of legislative issues, and master planning. She has previously served as President for Chattahoochee Hill Country Conservancy, a non-profit organization that inspires innovative development and land conservation. Ms. Patton is experienced in negotiations between counties, lobbying on state and national levels, advising local zoning ordinances and fundraising.

Mr. Brian Davison has a Bachelor in Urban and Regional Planning degree from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. Since relocating to Atlanta in 1992, Mr. Davison is a co-Managing Partner of Minerva Properties, a real estate firm that acquires, develops and manages a broad portfolio of real estate investments. He previously served four years as a Board of Trustees Member of Cliff Valley School in Atlanta during its evolution from a pre-school to a full elementary program.

Ms. Christi Morgan-Johnson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Real Estate, both from Georgia State University. Ms. Johnson is an Asset Manager, proficient with complex financial calculations, cash flow modeling, budgeting, and financial reporting. She has extensive experience with legal documentation including operating, acquisition and loan agreements, leases, and development and construction contracts. She recently served as Vice President and Chief Financial Advisor to Lutheran Towers, a non-profit organization for senior housing in Atlanta.
